We recently spent 10 days in Holcombe, Wisconsin vising my parents. There isn’t much to do in Holcombe besides boat and eat and drink.
Wisconsin deep fried cheese curds. Life doesn’t get much better….
But, the bird watching is pretty good. My parents have various types of feeders scattered around, and we saw some beautiful birds.
We saw male and female cardinals most days.

We also saw male and female orioles (the birds, not the baseball players) every day.

And, we saw finches. There were yellow finches every day.

Along with purple finches most days.
Purple finch.
But, the best birds were out on the lake. For example, we saw quite a few blue herons.

It was great to see you both in Chicago. Sorry that I did not have any exciting stories, but you guys made up for it with yours! Hoping we cross paths in PV. Those are great bird pictures. My bird pictures usually involve me sticking up my middle finger in Rossi’s after 1 in the morning.
I am wired in on the blog now, so will be more up to date with you guys. I may even figure out how to open up snapchat (baby steps).
